A Message About Online Shopping.

Hi everyone,

We were given a kind message by one of our fans and would like to relay to you that someone online has been using our photos and pretending to sell our items. Please be careful as we only sell through our website, email, and livejournal.

Although we may advertise, we DO NOT SELL on any other websites. We will be watermarking all of our future photos and will backtrack most of our older photos within the next weeks.

A good way to protect yourself from online scamming is to ask that seller for more photos. If you ever want to see more photos from us, we will be happy to take some for you!

Warm regards,
Trample Clothing

Shop Spotlight: Trample Clothing
By kyutie on Apr 02 2011, 4:06 pm
Each week we will try to feature different independent shops/brands for you guys to learn more about. Our Shop Spotlight for this week is Trample Clothing.

Tell us bit about yourself (or shop):

Our company consists of a couple friends (both female and male!) from college where we decided to form our store. All of us have always had a hand in the arts, from drawing to sewing. And we all have a passion for fashion!

Can you tell us about your brand, Trample Clothing:

Our store is called Trample Clothing, We began selling secondhand clothing in July 2010. We predominantly sell Japanese Lolita style clothing and we carry brands such as Vivienne Westwood, Baby the Stars Shine Bright, Angelic Pretty, Moi-meme-Moitie, Metamorphose, and more.

We came up with our brand name together. To us it sounded very unconventional for a Lolita name. We want young people to feel empowered--this is why we chose an Elephant as our Mascot. Our Elephant, “Trumpet,” is our sign of strength. We know many people who dress in Lolita who are afraid of going outside in their clothing except for friend meet ups. Even at those meet-ups, they won’t wear their bows until they are approaching their destination. We would like people to feel confident in our clothes.

We at Trample Clothing strive to provide excellent customer service, quality goods, and quality photos. One of the key aspects of our company is open communication. It’s extremely important to us to keep communication flowing between us and our customers.

What inspired you to start Trample Clothing?

Our team consists of many bright and artistic individuals. We have friends who are passionate about photography, about fashion, and about art. The one thing all of us have in common is our attention to detail and our love for fashion.

About how much are the average prices (for your items) on your shop?

We try to provide a range of items. We have sold items as low as $13 to items over $1,000. We price according to condition and rarity. We’ve been lucky to see some amazing pieces such as Vivienne Westwood’s Love Jacket and Moi-meme-Moitie’s Iron Gate Onepiece.

What is the most challenging thing you've faced since you opened your shop?

One of the most difficult things we are facing is hiding our true identities. Bruce Wayne (Batman) makes it look so easy.

And, what is the most rewarding?

Every time we receive a rave review or email from our customers. We really try our best to sell quality items and we never want someone to feel unhappy with what they received.

Who are the designers you look up to?

There are a lot of designers we truly respect! We actually think of them more as artists and musicians. Instead of using a paintbrush or a guitar, they use fabric to create their art or sound. This is what we aspire to do.

What are your future plans for this shop?

We have a lot in store, no pun intended. We plan to release our first dresses this year along with some exclusives. Stay tuned, friends!
